Laser Therapy Focuses on Specific Areas
Laser therapy has become more common among dentistry practices today because it allows precise, effective dental procedures that can be focused on specific areas. Some procedures using laser dentistry don’t even require anesthesia. Northern Dental & Hygiene Centre makes use of laser therapy to help minimize discomfort, anxieties and recovery times for our patients in the Grande Prairie area.
How Is Laser Therapy Being Used?
Lasers are aiding us in both hard and soft-tissue applications like never before. Laser therapy is primarily being used in the detection of cavities and preparing teeth for dental fillings without the use of a local anesthetic injection or the traditional dental drill. Lasers also aid in the teeth whitening process and in root planing, as well as assist with certain sleep apnea procedures. Lasers have also been known to help reduce inflammations of the temporomandibular jaw joint.
